• What is Rebtel?

  • Rebtel gives you a way to make international calls at low rates.  We do this by getting your call away from your telephone network and onto the internet.
    
    From there we can connect it to any phone in the world for you, for next to nothing.
    
    So we give you local numbers for your international contacts, which you call as normal. You pay your phone operator for a local call, and pay us a small fee on top of this for the international part of the call.
    
    This means that a Rebtel call is like any other international call - but cheaper!

• Do I need to install anything on my phone to start using Rebtel?

  • No, you just need to create a local number for your friend and start calling.

• What is the difference between Rebtel and other VoIP services?

  • Rebtel is the only company that helps you turn local calls (or your inclusive minutes) into international calls. Our way of doing this is by creating local numbers for your friends in other countries. They can create local numbers as well if they join Rebtel.

• How do I make a call?

  • Create a local number for your friend by following the instructions on www.rebtel.com. Dial the local number and wait for your friend to answer. Simple!

• How much does it cost?

• What's a Free Call?

  • Did you know that you can avoid paying any fees to Rebtel?

    Call your friend on your local number. When your friend answers, ask them to hang up within 10 seconds, and call you back while you stay on the line. You'll be connected after you hear a short sound. The international part of the call will be free. It's sounds weird but it works.

    Don’t forget that you and your friend also pay your operator for local calls. (If you and your friend both have inclusive minutes with your contracts, then these calls will be free.)

    You and your friend must both live in one of the 51 Rebtel countries.

• Does my friend and I have to be Rebtel users in order to make a Free Call?

  • No, It's enough if one of you are a Rebtel user in order for you to make a Free Call.

• What should I do if my friend can't hang up to make a Free call?

  • Ask your friend to press the star button (*) on his/her phone and it should work without any problem.

• Can I use the free call to phone anywhere in the world?

  • Unfortunately there are a few countries that the free call does not work for. Some destinations are too expensive even for us! Click here for a list of calling destinations not included in the offer.

• Do I need to change my phone company or network provider?

  • No, Rebtel loves your operator and works with all network providers.

• Can someone else use my Rebtel number to reach my friends?

  • Your Rebtel numbers are personal and cannot be shared.
    

• Can I use Rebtel to call land lines?

  • Yes, Rebtel support calls from and to landlines as well as mobile phones.
    

• Can I cancel my account?

  • You may cancel your account with us at any time, but please send us a note and tell us why you would like to cancel. We would like to help and understand how we can make Rebtel work better for you.
