The Role

At Rebtel, we are proud of being on the forefront of bringing useful and innovative tech products to people all around the world who have crossed a border and moved to a new country. Coming from a background of providing international calling services, we now help our customers transfer value and connect in many different ways across national borders.

We keep a keen eye on our existing mature products and are rolling out quality new products, which highlights the need for a QA Engineer. You will be responsible for crafting and implementing a framework for our QA in the backend engineering area. You are the quality ombudsman and will constantly raise the bar of our product and development process. This role involves both individual contribution to our automated test suite as well as mobilizing teammates for manual testing where necessary.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own the Backend testing strategy, including a roadmap for maintenance and modernization.
• Interface with product teams to devise a testing framework for new products and features.
• Write automated system tests primarily in .Net Core.
• Communicate to the rest of the tech team areas that need improvement as identified by routine testing.
• You work well with teams, even in areas besides QA, but are also capable of performing as a sole developer in your area

What we seek

• 5+ years  experience with testing and coverage tools and frameworks e.g nUnit, MSTest.
• Experience with devops tools and environments such as Jenkins, Teamcity, Azure Devops.
• Experience with tools for testing REST APIs, such as RestAssured and Postman.
• Experience with .Net Core, .Net framework, and related technologies (WCF, ASP.NET).
• Sound knowledge of SQL and database concepts (MSSQL, Redgate Ready roll deployment).
• Experience with black-box testing.
• Excellent communication skills in English.

Bonus points

• Experience with application containerization using Kubernetes
• Knowledge of Azure concepts and components (application gateways, load balancers)
• Experience building new products with an eye on maintainability and scalability
• Experience with payment platforms, FinTech or Banking
