Colombia Numbering Plan
What's happening with the Colombian numbering plan?
As of September 1st, all Colombian geographic number ranges will be prefixed with the area code 60.
The numbering plan in Colombia has changed on September 1st, 2021, to make them more uniform and provide a better calling experience. To keep your calls from failing, modify the prefix of all your Colombian phone numbers so they conform to the new numbering plan!
If you call with Shared Local Numbers make sure they're updated to the new numbering plan here! If you do not make these modifications at some point they will stop working.
When do I have to change how I dial?
You will still be able to dial the same way as before until the end of November 2021.
Make sure you update all your saved numbers before then!
How do I call now?
Calls to and from Colombian landlines have been simplified to follow this formula:
country code + 60 + area/city code + local number
For example, you'd dial +57 601 7654321 to call Bogotá
Landline to Landline
+57 05 2 4123456 becomes +57 602 4123456
Mobile to Landline
+57 03 7 7123456 becomes +57 607 7123456
Calls FROM landlines TO mobiles are following the below formula. No changes are made to calls FROM mobile phones TO mobile phones.
Landline to Mobile
+57 03 300 1234567 becomes +57 300 7654321
Mobile to Mobile
+57 315 1234567 stays +57 315 1234567
