Why Is My Rebtel Call Not Connecting?

My Call Fails Immediately. What Should I Check First?

Start by checking the destination number.

Make sure the number is entered correctly, includes the correct country code, and is active and reachable.

If the number is incorrect or the destination is not supported by Rebtel, the call may fail before it reaches the recipient.

I See an Error Message When I Call. What Should I Do?

If an error message appears, make a note of the exact message shown.

Try the call again and pay attention to whether it fails immediately, rings before disconnecting, happens with only one number, or affects several numbers.

This information can help Rebtel Support determine whether the problem is related to the destination, your account, or the connection route.

The Call Works Normally Outside Rebtel but Fails in Rebtel. What Does That Mean?

If you can call the same number successfully using your regular phone service but the Rebtel call fails, there may be an issue with the Rebtel connection or routing.

Before contacting Support, try switching your calling setup.

If You’re Using Wi-Fi

Try switching to mobile data.

If You’re Using Mobile Data

Try connecting to a stable Wi-Fi network.

If You’re Using Phone Lines

Try Internet Calling instead.

If You’re Using Internet Calling

Try Phone Lines if available.

If the call works after switching connection methods, the issue was likely related to your original network or calling setup.

Both My Rebtel Call and Regular Phone Call Fail. What Should I Do?

If the call also fails when you call the same number outside Rebtel, the issue is more likely related to the destination number, the recipient’s mobile operator, a temporary network issue, or a restriction affecting the recipient’s number.

Check the number with the person you’re trying to reach and confirm that they can receive regular calls.

Only One Number Is Affected. Why?

If you can successfully call other destinations but one specific number consistently fails, the issue may be related to that destination or the route used to reach it.

Check that the destination number and country code are correct and confirm that the recipient can receive calls from other people.

If everything is correct and the issue continues only with that destination, contact Rebtel Support so we can investigate.

My Calls Started Working After I Changed My Connection. Why?

If your call works after switching between Wi-Fi, mobile data, Phone Lines, or Internet Calling, the issue was likely related to your previous connection.

Weak or unstable Wi-Fi, mobile data interruptions, local carrier restrictions, or temporary network problems can affect whether a call connects successfully.

You can continue using the connection method that works best for you.

I’m Using a Local or Access Number and the Call Won’t Connect. What Should I Check?

If you’re using a Shared Local Number or Access Number, make sure your mobile carrier allows you to make regular local calls.

If regular local calls are not working, the connection may fail before it reaches Rebtel.

You may also need to update the local number used for your Rebtel calls.

Could My Rebtel Account Be Preventing Me From Calling?

In some cases, an account or security restriction can prevent calls from connecting.

Rebtel Support may need to review your account for balance or subscription issues, calling restrictions, security-related limitations, or other account conditions that may affect your calls.

If an account issue is identified, it will need to be resolved before further troubleshooting.

I Tried Different Connections and the Call Still Fails. What Should I Do?

If the issue continues after checking the number and switching your calling setup, contact Rebtel Support.

For the best chance of identifying the problem, contact us soon after the failed call. A recent failed call gives our technical team more information to investigate.
